Ce projet d’abribus en châtaignier, s’inscrit dans un contexte rural. Il vise à rompre l’isolement de l’usager tout en revalorisant une ressource de bois local. Des ailettes en bois filtrent les vues et permettent de voir et d’être vu, tant par l’utilisateur que par le conducteur. Le dispositif offre ainsi un abri protecteur sans enfermer, tout en affirmant une présence dans le paysage.

This chestnut bus shelter project, created in collaboration with the Scierie Viala (a French sawmill company), is set in a rural context. It aims to alleviate the user’s sense of isolation while making use of a local wood resource. Wooden panels filter the view, allowing both the user and the driver to see and be seen. The structure thus provides protective shelter without feeling enclosed, while making a distinct presence in the landscape.
